Engine servicing, winterisation and good preventative maintenance

In this month’s talk we will consider general maintenance and servicing on small marine diesels.

• Should we be doing it ourselves, or get it done by a professional?
• Apart from the basic oil, oil filter, fuel filter and impellor changes, what else should we consider?
• What is the expected service life of a typical boat engine?
• What damages our engines? and how can we prevent or minimise the risks?
